Quadruped Walk

Hey! Been working on the Quadruped walk cycle using the Great Dane rig, and its sweet!! :) Here are a few planning sketches, helped me a ton while I was on Maya. Greatly reduces the time you spend on blocking the poses out. Used some 2D animations, images, and real life footage.

Heres the blocking. Only the rear part for now, will post the finished version asap.

  1. hey good work man ... i really like the movement of the rear end of the body .. nice curves , smooth movement , it is very exaggerated , i guess thats what you want .. so good work , however ,

1)frame 58 - 61 coz there is a lot of distance covered by the feet. there is a slight jerk i mean .. not a very smooth motion ....
2)when u take the leg forward .. instead of moving it straight try and give it a curve outwards ...
3)at frame 98 , if the leg is going to go up so much , then the body should move so much more the other side ,maybe u can reduce the lift
    4) work more on the toes , instead of keeping them static

    cheers :)

  2. I was wondering who Animonk was lol!
Good to see you on here :P
And yeah its foot spends less time in the air, gotta fix that.
And for the rest of them, its still in blocking, I changed my workflow to straight forward for the walkcycles, works like a charm.
    Thanks.
